In March 2009 Luca Bassanese published his first book entitled “Soltanto per amore”, poems, letters and moments of life print by Buenaonda Edizioni. He held a concert for the San Benedetto Community at the Port of Don Andrea Gallo in the historic Piazza del Campo in Genoa, for "Faber and the old town - day of music, art, dialogue and poetry". In October of the same year he released “Duemila Papaveri Rossi", a collection of songs dedicated to Fabrizio De André, which includes the version of “Il bombarolo” performed by Luca Bassanese with the Kocani Orkestar of Macedonia.
